The jacket is almost more like a heavy sweatshirt material which for us living in the South is good. We did not need something heavy. Well made and the large fit adult male just fine. Only disappointed for us was the color. Online the purple looks fairly bright. In reality it almost looks dark blue. And ordered a baseball cap assuming it would match the jacket but it is a different shade. Not a big deal since using for Halloween but it might make a difference for someone ordering team colors.
